Do you provide diagnoses?
We do not diagnose however we are able to identify symptoms and suggest evidence based treatment.
What are the fees for service and how do I pay?
Our fees are set in accordance with guidelines established by our regulatory bodies (i.e. Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario). Invoices for insurance purposes are provided after payment.
Is everything we discuss confidential?
Your privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance, and with few exceptions, the information you share with us will not be shared with anyone else without explicit consent from you. The exceptions to confidentiality will be discussed with you during your initial appointment and will be documented in the informed consent paperwork.
How long does it take to feel better?
Everyone’s therapy journey is unique, that said we will use an evidence based and client centred approach to meet clients where they are at. Though “feeling better” means different things to everyone - willingness to participate fully in the process will get you closer to living your most meaningful, values based life.
What can I expect during my first session?
The aim of the first visit is for us to get to know one another. We will conduct an intake to understand your current needs. We will discuss your history and current concerns and will collaboratively develop an individualized treatment plan to address your concerns.
